About the Opportunity

A division of the Casman Group of Companies, RCI Electrical Service Ltd. is looking to hire an experienced General Manager to lead their team.

The successful candidate will play a vital part in the organization by being responsible for managing the growing activities of an electrical construction company offering residential, commercial, and industrial services in and around Fort McMurray.

More specifically, some of your key duties and responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing and monitoring operational activities;
• Coordinating all activities related to electrical construction projects;
• Overseeing, training, and motivating subordinate personnel;
• Performing site inspections, project control, and monitoring progress;
• Developing annual operating budgets;
• Overseeing preparation of bids for new work;
• Proposing strategies for generating revenues and driving new project prospecting efforts;
• Demonstrating leadership with corporate safety and quality assurance programs;
• Ensuring compliance with local, provincial, and federal agencies; and
• Other related duties or projects as required.

To be successful in this role, you will be a Master Electrician with experience in residential or industrial multi-project supervision, or have a combination of training, education, and experience.

Ideally, you will have knowledge of building codes, possess the ability to read and understand blueprints, and be able to interpret construction drawings and documents. 

A degree of computer literacy and experience using relevant software programs will also be advantageous. The ideal candidate will have the ability to deal with budgets, figures and overall planning.

You are an enthusiastic, results oriented, confident individual that is capable of managing and organizing multiple high priority projects.  Importantly, you will possess outstanding organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.  Most importantly, you will be professional, have excellent negotiating abilities and have unquestioned personal and professional integrity.
