About the Opportunity
A division of the Casman Group of Companies, RCI Electrical Service Ltd. is looking to hire two Journeyman Electricians to join their reliable and highly reputable team.
This varied role you will perform highly skilled maintenance, installation, repair, and troubleshooting work involving a variety of electrical systems. The electrician is involved in the technical application of electrical principles and uses blueprints when installing electrical systems in homes, offices, or industrial settings.
More specifically, some of the duties you will perform are:
- Installing, servicing, and repairing lighting fixtures, electrical panels, outlets, and wiring;
- Reading electrical circuit diagrams and blue prints;
- Installing cables and cable trays, conduit, junction boxes, panels, and transformers;
- Considerable external and internal contacts are required to carry out responsibilities.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Completed an Alberta Journeyman Certificate or hold an Electrician Red Seal certification.
- A minimum of three years Industrial and/or Commercial experience is required.
- A valid Driver's License and a clean driving record is required.
Most importantly, candidates who have already completed training in fall arrest, aerial platform, H2S, confined space and/or CSTS and OSSA orientation will be preferred.
The successful candidates will have fine motor control with work requiring extremely close tolerances and produce considerable mental and visual effort to plan and perform work. Most importantly, you will be an enthusiastic 'go getter' with a strong work ethic and the ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment. Travel to the job site will be required as well as working in an indoor and outdoor environment.
RCI Electrical Service is offering a work schedule of five 10-hour days with weekends off.
